What do fresh, Indiana-grown produce, live entertainment, and freshly baked bread have in common? It's the Bloomington Community Farmers' Market, of course! Come experience the largest market in the state at Showers Common every Saturday morning from 7 am until Noon.  Beginning in April and lasting through November, the Market is your spot for the freshest flowers and produce, the finest locally-produced meats and dairy products, even fair trade coffee and tasty pastries. Join your friends old and new while you shop and listen to local musicians perform.  The Market hosts over 3,500 patrons each week, so arrive early.  Don't miss this unique "agri"cultural event!

Fresh fruits and vegetables
Because all of the produce is grown by those who sell it, the fruits and vegetables are usually harvested the day before they are sold and sometimes even on the morning of sale. The market offers an amazing diversity of produce: honey, wild mushrooms, herbs, oriental vegetables, persimmons, edible flowers, heirloom peppers, maple syrup, and gooseberries to name only some of the unusual offerings. Of course the staples are there as well: tomatoes, corn, watermelons, pumpkins, and all the rest as only Indiana can grow them.

Fresh Baked Bread
Local bakers offer a variety of breads for the convenience of customers, making it possible to purchase the ingredients for an entire meal at Market. What goes better with a jar of wildflower honey than a loaf of fresh baked bread?

Beautiful Blooms
Throughout the season, fresh cut flower bouquets create an explosion of color at the Market. One of the best sources for bouquets in Bloomington, the Market also has a wide selection of annuals, biennials and perennials to fill every gardener's needs. From the first irises in April to the last dried bouquets in November, the Market keeps Bloomington in blooms.

Music
During the Saturday Market, featured performers turn Showers Common into one of the best free music venues in Bloomington.

Information Tables
